About these terms

These terms are the rules for using Unimeat: the Android app, this website, and the support we give. Unimeat is run by Unimeat Solutions Limited in Kenya.

By downloading or using Unimeat, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Who can use Unimeat

• You must be 18 or older.
• Today Unimeat is for people who run or work in a meat business, such as a butchery, market stall, or outlet. A side for people who buy meat will come later, with its own terms.
• If you sign up for a business, you must have the right to act for that business.

Your account

• Give true details when you sign up, and keep them up to date.
• Keep your password private. Anything done with your sign in counts as done by you.
• You are responsible for the staff you add and for removing them when they leave.
• Tell us quickly if you think someone else is using your account.

Your records

• Your records belong to your business. You let us store and use them only to run Unimeat for you.
• Totals, stock, and profit are worked out from what you and your staff enter. Please check your entries. We cannot fix numbers that were entered wrong.
• How we handle your information is set out in our privacy policy.

Getting the app

• Download Unimeat only from this website. Files from other places may be unsafe.
• The version number is shown next to the download. Install new versions when they come out.
• The app needs an internet connection to save your records.

Pilot stage

Unimeat is in a pilot stage. We are still improving it with our first customers. This means:

• features may change, be added, or be removed,
• the service may sometimes be slow or unavailable, for example during updates,
• we will tell you ahead of time about changes that affect how you work, when we can.

Fees

If Unimeat or a plan costs money, we will tell you the price before you pay. Payments are made by M-Pesa. Fees you have paid are not refunded unless the law requires it or we agree in writing.

Fair use

Please do not:

• use Unimeat for anything illegal, or to record false sales to cheat anyone,
• try to break into Unimeat, copy it, or disturb how it works,
• share your account with people outside your business,
• upload anything harmful, such as viruses.

Stopping or closing an account

• You can stop using Unimeat at any time. To close your account, email info@unimeat.co.ke.
• We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms. Where we can, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Unimeat correct and available, but we provide it as it is. We are not responsible for losses caused by wrong entries, a lost or broken phone, no internet, or events outside our control.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Kenyan law, including the Consumer Protection Act.

Law and disputes

These terms follow the laws of Kenya. If there is a problem, talk to us first and we will try to settle it together. If we cannot, the courts of Kenya will decide.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we make a big change, we will tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using Unimeat after that, you agree to the new terms.
